Since May 2008, Monique Huber has served as Quality Assurance Laboratory Manager at MGP’s Atchison, Kansas, Facility. Her role is critical to ensuring that products produced at the Facility effectively meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This involves day-to-day oversight of all Quality Assurance Laboratory functions, including in-plant laboratory testing methods and procedures, as well as in-process and finished product analyses.
Monique’s experience over the past several years with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and food and beverage safety have helped MGP earn and retain BRC certification (global standard for food and beverage safety) for MGP’s distillery, as well as protein and starch operations, in Atchison
At the top of Monique’s list of professional credentials is her wide scope of expertise. She has been involved with analytical method implementation and the analysis of nearly every MGP product produced in Atchison over the past three decades. Her knowledge and strong commitment to consistently satisfy customers’ needs and expectations make her well-equipped to lead efforts in the quality lab—efforts focused on providing world-class distillery products and specialty food ingredients.
Monique started her career with MGP as a Laboratory Technician in 1989. In addition to duties related to quality assurance, her work has involved the performance of responsibilities in the Company’s research & development and microbiological laboratories. She has also served as the lead trainer of operators in MGP’s in-plant labs.
Monique is a graduate of Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, where she received a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry.
